Native Plants and Animals
Some of the largest deciduous trees are located in forests of Japan. These trees supply shelter and homes for some truly unique animals. The Serow is found only in the dense woods and you can find his species throughout most of Japan. The Japanese Marten are relatives of the Sable, and are found all over Japan, except for the north of Hokkaido and on some of the smaller islands. There are a great variation of birds all over Japan, as well as deer, bears, squirrels, weasels, snakes and many others even some that are yet to be found.
The Cherry Blossom is truly magnificent, its bright pink colours are one of beauty and peace and bring life to new meanings. They grow throughout all of Japan and are the heart and soul of Japan. Deciduous trees consume over three quarters of all trees and forests in Japan, they bring grow the most magnificent leafs and come fall the all change colours for the new season. In the fall the trees lose their leafs and bring a different outlook towards life.
